Taking a Closer Look at Latino Voters in Florida

The 20 20 elections had mixed results for democrats. A report by the democratic firm catalist found there was an eight per centage point shift among latinos towards donald trump. In no place was that shift more apparent than in florida, where latinos accounted for 17 % of registered voters and 58% of voters in maami dade county alone. We decided to take a closer look at latino voters in the sunshine state paolo ramos and carlos odio are going to help us understand why this shift happened and what democrats can do to win back latino voters.
