How I Worked at UBS and Credit Suisse
It's counted in the overall equities markets daily volume and it does have to be reported to one of the trade reporting facilities, but it doesn't count in the exchange volume. It's this off exchange volume which typically comprises somewhere between 30 and 35% of daily trading volume. And I did the same sorts of things probably for about eight years in all. That is statistical models to help improve the prop trading done by these desks typically when interfacing against retailers. So I find it to be sort of an interesting engineering challenge.
