Are We Engaging Our Limbic Nervous System When It Comes to Long Term Rewards?

When people are engaging in a task that requires them to think about and anticipate longer term rewards, the part of their brain that lights up most is the pre frontal cortex. Short term rewards are especially dangerous because they do primarily engage our emotion brain. And when we're just living in a motion brain, we're probably not able to truly and objectively see future consequences. So i do think that in your work it's very important, i would imagine, that you help people understand that they need to sit on those decisions.
