The Importance of Smarter and More Honest Culture Wars
A tweet said we should have smarter and paraphrasing here, smarter and more honest culture wars. It got me thinking about what is a culture war? How has it become just the phrase that we use to describe people arguing? What makes it distinct from just normal arguments? So I would like to maybe wrap up with a working definition of culture war. And then make that kind of like almost as if it's just this is what's been happening since time immemorial. Like culture war can't be a bad thing if all it means is the same old arguments being made. That's a democracy. You know you have to have those criteria for it to mean anything and for something negative
