The Importance of Ritual Play in the Recovery of Serious Play

Ritual play allows an individual to engage in inactive analogy so that they can get into a liminal state. That combination of enacted analogy and inactive an agogae is empowered by the cognitive flexibility brought on by an altered state of consciousness. Hopefully a higher state of consciousness gives us a sense of the increased realness, the more realness of the world we are trying to move into.
