The Commons Commentary

"The Handmaid's Tale" is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood. In it, a group of white women try to get close to black people in order to make them feel better about themselves. When they find out that their efforts are not working, one woman becomes suspicious and starts questioning her own actions. The film was inspired by real-life experiences for author Faith i 'enouh.
