Rajagaha, the Capital of the Gangetic Plains

Buddhist monk vakali committed suicide in episode five of this season. Within is the city of rajaga, or raja griha, known also as geri badja and geri raja. Surrounded by rivers and hills, it is an impregnable fortress. In the hills and rocky crags outside the city, ascetics have gathered for many generations. Now they are gathering for perhaps the most important gathering of samanas ever seen in the gangetic plains.
