The Positive and Negative Rights of Sex

If you have a negative right to sex, then the idea that you should be free to go pay for sex seems uncontroversial. But once we're in this sort of positive rights territory, we then sort of look like we're in the socialism territory, right? In other words, I pay my taxes and in return for taxes, I should be able to get certain goods and services like health care. And so who's providing this? It's not private individuals. It's the state, right? So you said, look, no one wants to have sex with me. I'm in despair about it. And so the state owes me sex... You must take into account my particular element
