How to Build a Semiconductor Industry?
In your book, the Soviet Union seems to be like one particular case study. Can you explain a little bit about what happened there and in particular why it is so hard actually doing this? Well, I found the Soviet case study fascinating and it started really as a puzzle to me as to what went wrong in the Soviet Union. The Soviets were quite effective at replicating. But they were replicating at a pretty long time lag and thanks to Moore's law that left them quite far behind the cutting edge.
