My Dad Was a Lawyer and My Mother Was a Salesman

When I was younger, there's another difference in my life in yours, your parents were professionals. In our generation, the boomers, the yuppies, it's almost inconceivable that if you had a law degree that you would go into business instead. But my father sold, he sold women's clothing. And for me, why did he sell house coats? And the answer was it was a way to make a living and in his generation, children with immigrants. The professional degrees and being professional just wasn't a thing. It didn't really matter what you did in the prestige of being a lawyer versus a salesman.
