Miscavige's Strategy for Taking on the IRS
Ron Miscavige's strategy for taking on the IRS was fairly boilerplate when it came to litigation, especially corporate litigation. He continued bombarding them with lawsuits from Scientology proper, but he also got individual Scientologists to bring 2,300 more suits against the IRS. Miscavige ran ads using images of John Wayne and Willie Nelson to remind the public that the IRS attacked beloved icons on the regular.
