Decapod Crabs - Leg Like Appendages?

decipods can have as many as 38 appendages. Even though they will typically have ten legs, or leg like appendages, some of those could be seen as other things. Some crabs have paddles for their, their hindmost pair of legs. So you can at least imagine a scenario in which some one might not count those as part of the leg count.
