The Act of Observation Is Not the Thing That Causes the Materialization of Something

The act of observation is not the thing that causes the materialization of something, says Wheeler. He's saying that collapse doesn't happen. What we're talking about here is the act of observation gets no special dispensation in Everett's view. If there is anything designed to confuse somebody about what quantum mechanics is all about, this does it. The measurement problem is solved. There is no such measurement problem. We are one consciousness. We're not divided into two and so we can't experience both at the same time.
