If Chinese firms have access to much less capable chips and therefore face limitations, inefficiencies, higher costs when they try to train and develop AI systems. That's the dilemma that imposes on China over the longer run. You know, it's not a problem for this year or next year, but it is a problem for the late 2020s. The thing that really struck me is the appreciation I've developed for advanced manufacturing.
