The Nature of Belief in Attitude

There's a class of views which we might think of as intellectualism, according to which what you believe is basically what you would sincerely say they are. And then there's a more broad based view on which to believe something is to live your life in general as though it were the case. On an intellectualist view, if that person is sincere, right, then the person really believes in hell, but they're kind of being irrational. So, I think that there's a wide range of, it's just part of the human condition that we have and often religious attitudes and moral attitudes are among them.
