John Kale and Tony Conrad
John Kale was an accomplished classical musician who learned early on and through his time in the avant-garde scene how to improvise like musically in a way that's new and exciting. And Lou, he was experienced, but also just as we said, okay, I'm playing guitar. He could freestyle and spit out words from his subconscious and tell a story while they jam together. They were both at this time, John and Lou, they were both at the exact same age, they were 22 years old. For the first time they were both able to find someone on their level that they could learn from.
