Sexis a Men and Sex Roles in Society

Being masculine is valued in society. And if a woman comes off as being more masculine and potentially more gay, ye, then you would think at that would be valued. But the lesbian is not getting any boost out of that. What's happening is that she is seen as less competent, and that seems to be an inference from her perceived sexual orientation. That's the more consistent pattern that explains the discrimination across those studies.
