Getting Your Money Back in Real Estate Deals?
We're usually diversified in different sub sectors of real estate, but we do almost no office and almost no retail. Literally one or two out of a hundred deals we've done have had office and retail. We used to do a lot more value at apartments, but when bonds started returning nothing, the value at apartment market got a little bit too expensive,. much harder to find. It's three to five years on average, not every deal, for a re financor an exit. So this is not buy and hold real estate. The difference there also is the three to five year looking to re finance or exit, rather than the ten year lock ups that you see in private equity
