The Importance of Smut in Culture

There's a moment in the television series, Rome, which I don't know if you guys have seen, but it's one of my favorite TV shows. So there's a crier who's like standing in the square yelling the news about Julius Caesar's latest military conquest. The end he's like, visit whatever bakery on this street for baking good Roman bread for good Romans. That's incredible. It's just this moment where I'm like, yeah, you know, people have been subjected to advertising at the time.
