I think that thinking about one sense is probly the conventional way of approaching gardening. So people would always think about the looks, and they'd think about the way something should look. And a lot of received ideas came into that, and snobbery and whats prus next door doing. But now we're looking at planting for polinatures, which is great. People begin to plant things which they might not have thought of as conventionally beautiful, but they're putting it in because it's attracting polinatures. For instance, a ficilia, which is quite strange looking purple floweri looks amit like a misabusin coxcomb or something elti beautiful -
