I think it's something we've reiterated on the show a lot is just that the days of, and I don't know if these days ever existed, they haven't existed in my career. The ones who do respond when you just click apply for job and then they send you an interview likely means they are just absolutely strapped to get somebody quickly. It's not the ones that take that work to figure out how to find your way into a role with them. They're not interested in getting to know you or figuring out if you're a go-getter. They just saw a resume and said, yeah, we'll invite you over.
