I got my GED when I was 16. My education was essentially like being in studios and making music. And so I had made these records, one of them was released at the age of 13. One of them I decided not to release when I was 15 because I had started listening to like Leonard Cohen and like Elliot Smith and all these things. So I just kind of like rejected that. When I think about those records, I don't really even consider them to be like my first records. I look at it as like if you were to look back at like a school project you made when 14, you wouldn't necessarily be including that in your body of work.
