How to Rehydrate a Kid With Fluids

The two most commonly used fluids in the hospital setting are S normal saline or LR lactated ringers. I would recommend at least getting electrolytes and probably some baseline kidney function just so you know where you're starting at. There's growing evidence, but a lot of the evidence is really contradictory and very confusing. Pediatrics lagging quite a bit behind adult medicine when it comes to both the number and the quality of the studies that we have.
