Oje's character is fighting to not give away what he's been given. He feels like he owes it to his family name to stick around and figure out how to stay there. It was interesting in that mo movies about extra terrestrials, or about understanding them, and this or making contact with them. But none of it works unless you understand o j ah and his connection to that land,. So it's very much about family, which most great movies are.
