The Phone Is Not Perfect, but It's Not Afraid
The telephone is almost in some kind of uncanny valley between, like seeing some one's face and like the range of their emotions. And if you are going to be on the phone with somebody, i don't necessarily have your full attention. They can be doing anything. It's not a great substitute for talking to someone in person, but it's not awful.
