The Importance of Honoring the World of Things
You say we need to honor the world of things, not despise it. We cannot honor things if we try to find ourselves through them. And how do we honor them? You honor them by giving them attention. Sometimes I have a few possession centers I love and sometimes I just hold them,. Look at them, they're beautiful to look at. If somebody else wants them more than I - you let go. There's no identification, but there can be enjoyment in things. It doesn't mean that you don't buy anything anymore. Occasionally you may come across something that looks truly beautiful that speaks to you... But it's no longer compulsive.
