The X and Y Slopes of the Wave Front Sensor
Each row is one pixel on your wave front sensor. The columns, each column in this matrix is one actuator. And so that's how you take a snapshot of the atmosphere in terms of slopes. You transform it into commands that go to your actuators and then boom.
