The History of Oslo
When the Kalmar Union finally collapses in 1536, Norway is declared to be a Danish province. It does actually end up being a kingdom, but it's very much in a union with Denmark. And so some of the wars of the 16th and 17th century are played out on Norwegian soil. Oslo had been on fire more than a dozen times already give or take. But this time King Christian IV of Denmark and Norway had it rebuilt.
