In your book, you dedicate a whole chapter to model criticism and model selection. You talk mostly but two general halgaritms to do that. Can you talk a bit about those and explain why they help in that regardroll of modelse? One is for model selection, one is for measurement. They are very similar. And its designed to keep you on tract so that you don't get lost during the process. It turns out that it's very easy to to solve the wrong problem.
