The Importance of Ultra Lung Protective Ventilation

A majority of our patients who go on ECMO have originated their care at an outside hospital. I'm glad that Eddie brought up strain because a part of our multidisciplinary discussion includes a discussion of resource availability. We know the ventilator while often necessary can be harmful to patients. And so we want to put patients on long rest or lung safe sevens.
