Is Machine Learning a Good Approach to Understanding Coma Patients?

Only AI can do many things, but we do not have any knowledge about goal. What I worry is, if you start with machine learning and start to understand how to predict where the patients would come back from a coma, you're going to have understanding that it's very different from IIT. Can we create Einstein's law or Newton's laws or quantum mechanics based on only machine learning of M.P. data? That's from my question here.
