The End of Hope
I want to travel maybe kind of in between those questions that I just asked. It's something I see in your work and I'm going to kind of speak around the way it kind of lands in me or my interpretation of it. When I see hope, I don't think about someone going one day this shall happen. The picture of hope is slaves, slave ships traversing the Atlantic. There is a sense of hope that is the promise. Let me think of it as the territorial promise of unending continuity premised on human agency. That is all we need to do is keep going forward.
