If symptoms increase in the hours following a long run, it's probably just a sign that we put more load through the tendon than it's happy to handle. It might just be in your rehab exercises or when you're reintroducing an athlete to a bit of running. We don't expect you to wake up and have no symptoms but we're just making sure that the patient doesn't have a flare up.
