I think one of the issues that confuses a lot of people is that we tend to conflict legality with morality, and that shapes and changes society. I mean, to give you one example, aminth, well, i mean, theyre acty two, but let me give youone example. Three seven seven was equated more and more narrowly with male homosexuality in india - not even female homosexuality so much. So for me, the triumph of three seven seven, which was based on a minoritizing narrative, lost the battle of the universalizing impulse. And for me, that is an actual loss as well.
