The Gold Star on My Father's Front
An extra portion of piecedal earth had found this way to unit 570. I was filled with much Christmas cheer and curiosity about the gold star on my father's front. He treated mama like queen for a day and all the kids were given extra special attention as he sat around the house content. The bright lights from the Christmas tree and that gold star lit up his entire face whenever he laughed. Oh my God, Brenda. You told such a beautifully happy story and the whole thing was layered with sadness. That is my wish.
