Is There a God There to Save Us From Material Degeneration?
Hegel's philosophy of nature shows this kind of extreme move like we see in Plato, which is nature is really the externalization of God or spirit. And so what does nature have to do? It has to sacrifice itself for a kind of spiritual redemption. In order for there to be a kind of rescuing, a kind of saving of existence from this inborn seed of death, there has to be the sacrificial move of natureso that it can be idealized and spiritualized.
