The Future Story of Virtue

The only decentralized and non-totalitarian story that I know of is the story of virtue, because that comes from the bottom up. The idea is that a good society comes out of the good effort of individual people. We don't have a precedent in history for that kind of decentralized type of story yet. But again, I'm open to suggestions.
