The Government will have no problem getting this tax hike through the Parliament. The Greens, and most of the crossbench in the Senate have signaled their support. But it would be a very expensive promise to deliver both fiscally and politically. You'd have to find other savings for the loss of the annual $3.2 billion in the projected medium term revenue.
