The Importance of Holistic Design in Federation
Mastodon is designed to be something that like you could see a sports franchise having an account here. There's blue sky, the app, right? And then there's that whole whatever horrible verse meologism we're going to come up with to talk about what's out on the AT protocol. So some of the complaints that I have about Mastodon in my piece are essentially complaints about like underlying mechanisms that I think are not ideal That probably go back to activity pub.
