The Importance of Peace in the Christian Life
Aquinas says that peace then is, as the fruit of charity, is what obtains in us. When loving all things for God's sake, that becomes the reintegrating principle in us and the Christian in grace begins to experience peace again. The lack of joy or happiness isn't necessarily a sign; it wouldn't have misused the Christian life. We can still achieve things together, but that's more conchord, not peace. The saints in glory know peace perfectly.
