zone five is your absolute, sort of maximal power output. Zone to is thought to be the best place to train for mitochondrial health. Train at a level where you are comfortable doing it but feel like you're getting a work out. And then i wouldn't really worry too much about what youre smart watch, or your er a chest strap, or whatever, is saying. Paying attention to heart right is not useful at all.
