The War on Drugs, Right?
This would obviously be considered more of a public health issue, if anything, rather than anything to do with criminal health regulation in many cases. We've been quite successful with tobacco. And I don't know why we should assume that because a non criminal approach worked extremely well with that drug, an approach of criminal prohibition will work well with other drugs. That has not happened. You know, with opiates, for example, right now we've got this toxic supply. So, maybe the best strategy is to regulate access and discourage use.
