The Culinary Dance Between Plants and Animals

In your book, you suggested that there's a culinary dance between plants and animals. Can you explain that please? So one part of the dance is that plants for the most part with some exceptions, I'll get into plants that don't want to be eaten. And so if plants are mostly getting eaten by goats, they can produce compounds that trigger those bitter taste receptors and warn the goats off. Fruits have evolved to woo animals toward themselves and then to be eaten and so to be pleasurable in the eating.
