The context for the chapter on cues, quite clear enough, was specifically interested in work that is done in pieces. A little piece is done, and then the package of work to be done is placed on on a soft ware cue. And then later, some worker programme,. picks up that piece of work off the cue, does the next step, or next piece of the work
