"I don't think we saw rain after wash. We saw one day of rain in Washington and then the next rain that I can recall was in the Sierra, like Northern Sierra by Kennedy Meadows North," he said. "So a long stretch where I could save a few ounces by going from rain gear to wind gear." He continued: "For most of the trail, I was using the short neo air X light. Again, we were, we had an aggressive mile goal ... So I was cutting corners in places that I think were outside of my comfort zone".
