Is Financial Literacy a Foreign Language?

i'm curious because i went to a teeny, tiny, you know, red neck school in rolaalabama. There were 32 people in my graduating class. Our government teacher had us do a six week long project where we just had to learn to fill out our taxes and also create a budget. He he said he was doing this because most of the kids that i graduated with didn't go to college. They went straight into the labor force. It's really basic stuff like, what is in rest? What is like a budget in terms of income versus expenditure? And like, you know,. living between within your means? What are taxes? You know, stuff like this that
