I think in developed countries there seems to be sort of a paradox where the wealthier you are, the less likely perhaps you are to be obese. It really does depend on the country and many different factors but accessibility of food and the fact that these low nutrition discretionary food items are very affordable makes them very appealing. But research does show you can eat healthy. It's the same cost as processed and packaged foods or a diet that's low in nutrition.
