How Did You Decide to Work in Family Therapy?

i was one year postmasters, so i had a year where i was doing therapy at am. I also had really good playtherapy training there. And then i started seeing kids in the foster care program and it was like none of it mattered. Like nothing that used to work didn't work any more. So i was like, what? What is the problem here? You know, granted, i'm not the most seasoned therapis. But i feel like i was having much more of an impact using these tools in my previous place of employment.
