Over the 80 year history of the social social security programm is collected roughly 19 trillion dollars and paid out 16 point one trillion dollars. Its asset reserves currently at two point eight trillion at the end, by the end of 20 15. It's expected to decline even further until they're completely depleted in 20 34. Which means this money that's supposed to go to help families with retirement, people who have disabilities, a, you know, all all kinds of issues people that need this money to survive.
