We Need a New Narrative in Evolutionary Biology

All living organisms started on planet Earth as simple single cells, single cell bacteria essentially. After about a billion years of them in this combat narrative, it occurred to bacteria in evolutionary terms that it's more energy efficient to collaborate than to kill. It took two billion years for life forms to realize collaboration is better and more effective and more successful ultimately than competition.
